The extensible capacity of a yStor system allows storage hardware to be added on an as-needed basis. A yStor vSAN can employ virtually any type of disk hardware, as well as combinations of disparate disks. Since hardware-centric controllers are not necessary and arrays can be distributed across multiple chassis, ‘maximum device’ limitations are eliminated.
